Driving Instructors needed for Modesto/Oakdale/Riverbank and surrounding areas.
Job Requirements/Duties:
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Have proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Have Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid California Driver License and a driving record that does not contain (for the last 10 years) traffic tickets (still on record), at-fault accidents, suspensions, revocation, failure to appear, no probation.
- Must complete a 60 hour training program (40 study / 20 in car). You will be given 3 weeks to complete training.
- Pass written instructor’s exam at the Sacramento DMV Inspector’s office.
- Pass a Department of Justice background check.
- Pass Live Scan fingerprinting.
- Pass a Physician’s Health Exam.
- Have no criminal convictions pending or in the last 10 years.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have patience, understanding, quick reflexes, a relaxed demeanor, work well with teens, and have the heart of a teacher.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and non major holidays.
- Must keep the vehicle clean inside and out and fueled at all times.
Duties:
- Behind the wheel training of safe, courteous and defensive driving skills to teen and adult drivers as well as behind the wheel test reviews and evaluations.
- You may also be required to take students to the DMV for behind the wheel drive tests.
- Teaching California traffic law and safe operations of a motor vehicle.
- Scheduling student appointments.
- Completing student paperwork.
- Collecting money.
- Notifying the office of vehicle maintenance issues.
- Communicating student issues to the office.
